Here’s a collection of my favorite shots from my time (so far) in the great Scott’s Addition of Richmond, VA! I got to experience my first Richmond InLight, catch a few lovely snowfalls, and even come across a random pineapple hanging out.
My 1st Year Through Current in Scott’s Addition*
Figured I’d come in here and update this post since I’m actually still living in Scott’s Addition. This place has changed a lot since my 1st year. And the neighborhood had already been through many changes by then. Apartments are popping up like Starbucks in New York City, breweries & restaurants have increased a ton, there are a bunch of arcade/gaming spots, and a lot of the older businesses have moved out. One reminder of the old neighborhood still remains though, and that’s the strip clubs, Richards and Paper Moon. I’m sure they’re making a killin’ these days.
My apartment complex had remained in a slightly untouched area of Scott’s Addition, construction-wise. It was typically used as a good parking area for the Hof, Three Notched, Long Oven, and many others. But now we’re being sandwiched between two new apartment complexes. And it’s about to get a lot busier. Overall it hasn’t been bad, just gonna be a little crazier once construction finishes.
